UHS Home Care has been named by HomeCare Elite as one of the Top100 home health agencies in the U.S. This is the sixth time in the seven-year history of the HomeCare Elite program that UHS has been recognized, although is the first time as it has made the Top 100.
HomeCare Elite honors the top-performing agencies in five categories:
- Quality of care (outcomes)
- Implementation of process measures
- Quality Improvement
- Patient experience
- Financial performance measures
The 2012 HomeCare Elite was compiled using publicly available data from the CMS Home Health Compare and CMS cost reports and recognizes the top 25 percent of home care agencies. Plus, each year, the Top 100 and Top 500 agencies overall are given special recognition.
UHS Home Care is one of only three other home health agencies in New York to make the 2012 HomeCare Elite list and the only one in the Top 100.
